The European Athletics Indoor Championships 2013 in Gothenburg will be an event beyond expectations. The unique concept, ”All under one roof”, brings everything together and the event aims to be the most sustainable championships ever.

Next year the city of Gothenburg welcomes 600 athletes from 50 countries, nearly 20,000 fans from near and far and journalists from all over Europe. The championships’ venue includes everything from the actual competition arena and a large activity-area, to the official hotel Gothia Towers and a spacious media centre located right in the middle of it all.

Visiting athletes will have the advantage of warming-up and competing only steps away from their comfortable hotel room. By keeping everything under one roof right in the heart of Gothenburg, we minimise the need for transportation and create a closeness that will be highly beneficial for all participants – no matter if they come here to compete, report or join the audience. The central location in Gothenburg’s vibrant eventdistrict is ideal for international visitors and locals alike and is easily accessed by public transport from the Central Station. The area is well-known for hosting major events, concerts and exhibitions and everything you need can be found within walking distance.
